The Saucerful of Secrets Official Store is giving away merchandise and media bundles for the band’s upcoming “Live at the Roundhouse.”
Pink Floyd co-founder and drummer Nick Mason founded the Saucerfuls in 2018 to play out live the early music of Floyd.
Sony Legacy will release “Live at the Roundhouse” on Sept. 18.
The performance, recorded at the London venue in May 2019, will be available as a double LP, three-disc CD/DVD, and Blu-ray.

“Wall” director Alan Parker dead at 76

Film director Alan Parker (center) died today after a lengthy illness. He was 76.
With more than two dozen films to his credit, Pink Floyd fans knew him best for directing 1982’s “Pink Floyd The Wall.”
Parker was nominated for Oscars twice — for “Midnight Express” (1978) and “Mississippi Burning” (1988) — and directed a number of musical films in addition to “The Wall,” including “The Commitments” (1991), “Evita” (1996) and “Fame” (1982).
“When I go to film festivals and they show my films, they always include ‘The Wall,’ and it’s always packed out,” he said in 2016. “So, it always appears wimpy to say I hated making it. I have mellowed a bit and say it was a ‘tortured but highly creative time’ – not to be repeated.”
Parker was one of an artistic trio that formed the film’s creative nucleus, which included animator Gerald Scarfe and Floyd’s Roger Waters.

“Floydian Slip” coming to KRIX 105.5 FM (Port Isabel, TX)

“Floydian Slip” will begin airing on KRIX 105.5 FM in Port Isabel, TX, starting Sunday, July 26. The station will carry the show Sundays at 7 p.m. CT.
“105.5 Rocket” is a 1,200-watt classic rock station operating in the Rio Grande Valley at the southeastern-most tip of Texas.
KRIX is the latest station to join the Random Precision Radio Network, a collection of more than 100 broadcasters that air “Floydian Slip,” produced in our Shelburne, Vt., studio.
