The upcoming issue of Uncut magazine features David Gilmour on the cover.
Uncut spoke to Gilmour aboard Astoria, his houseboat recording studio moored on the Thames, about his new album “Rattle That Lock” and other topics.
“In some ways, I think I’ve found my feet,” Gilmour tells the magazine. “It’s quite late in life to start finding one’s feet, I must admit. Or at least, to find them again …”
The new issue goes on sale beginning July 28.

Newsweek magazine has published a special edition titled “Pink Floyd: 50 Years Later.”
The 100-page glossy “bookazine” covers the band’s extensive history and contains rare photographs, insights from critics, and backstage stories.
On newsstands beginning today for $10.99, it’s also available for purchase through Amazon.com.
“Pink Floyd: 50 Years Later” is published in partnership with Topix Media Lab of New York, N.Y., which creates nearly 100 titles a year.

“Floydian Slip” is giving away copies of Uncut magazine’s “Ultimate Music Guide to Pink Floyd.”
The first in a series of guides, this Floyd “bookazine” contains 146 pages of classic interviews and insights into the band.
Already on sale in the U.K., the guide will hit U.S. newsstands in mid- to late-May.

Uncut magazine has revealed details of the first issue from its upcoming “Ultimate Music Guide” series.
The first “bookazine” in the collectable series, devoted to Pink Floyd, will cover the band’s entire career and include a series of classic interviews from the Uncut archive, plus new content and reviews devoted to every Floyd release.
Details on a release date are pending, but we’ll have copies to give away on an upcoming “Floydian Slip.”
Addendum: Uncut tells us it’ll be available on newsstands mid- to late-May, and for sale online.

The U.K.’s Uncut magazine will launch its Ultimate Collectors’ Edition series in April with its first issue devoted to Pink Floyd.
Marketing and Events Executive Charlotte Treadaway tells “Floydian Slip,” “It will be a high quality bookazine, packed with great feature content, classic interviews and new takes on every album.”

Shinedig! Magazine has published “Interstellar Overdrive,” the Shindig! Guide to Spacerock.
The special issue, published Jan. 16, features a 6-page article devoted to Pink Floyd, exploring the band’s, sometime contentious, connection to “spacerock.”
The 170-page tome also includes article about Hawkwind, Gong, Pink Fairies and many others. Essential reading for the psych fan.
