Register to win a copy of the new book “Reinventing Pink Floyd: From Syd Barrett to The Dark Side of the Moon” by Bill Kopp.

The book focuses on the transitional period of the band during the late-1960s and early-’70s following the departure of co-founder Syd Barrett and the group’s hugely successful album “The Dark Side of the Moon.”

Kopp’s research included interviews with early Floyd manager Peter Jenner; a variety of notable musicians: Steve Howe, Yes; Davy O’List, The Nice; Robyn Hitchcock; and Floyd collaborators Ron Geesin and Willie Wilson; and “Floydian Slip” host Craig Bailey.

The answer to our contest’s trivia question: Rick Wright was the only member of Pink Floyd to attend the press event for “The Dark Side of the Moon,” held at the London Planetarium on Feb. 27, 1973.

For fans in the Burlington, Vermont, area, we’ve got another chance to win tickets to see the concert film “David Gilmour Live at Pompeii,” Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the Palace 9 Cinemas in South Burlington.

The film is a document of Gilmour’s July 2016 shows at the ancient amphitheater, 45 years after Pink Floyd famously played the same venue to an audience of none for the film “Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii.”
