Published in hardcover by Carlton Books, the book contains 62 pages of content, along with dozens of removable facsimile memorabilia such as backstage passes, stickers, handbills, concert posters and more.
The book, published last month, is one of three similar titles released by Carlton, including titles devoted to Bob Dylan and AC/DC.
The author of two previous books about Floyd, Povey founded the Brain Damage fanzine and has written for Mojo, Record Collector, Classic Rock and other periodicals.

Punk Floyd has won the 2nd Annual “Floydian Slip” Surrogate Bands Pink Floyd Cover Contest.
The California band’s recording of “Time/Breathe (Reprise)” beat all other entries to take first place. The song was featured on “Floydian Slip” show #848, an annual all-covers edition of the show. For its efforts, the group received $100 in Pink Floyd merchandise from The Official Web Store of Pink Floyd.
The trio describes itself as “the unholy spawn of the Rutles and Sex Pistols, weened on the milk of Pink Floyd,” and has recorded many Floyd songs that, in classic punk fashion, clock in at just over a minute.
Second prize went to Big Lee for “Another Brick Inside the Mason’s Wall,” a hip hop interpretation of Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2).” Second prize was a hardcover copy of Mark Blake’s “Comfortably Numb: The Inside Story of Pink Floyd” and a CD copy of “A Foot in the Door: The Best of Pink Floyd.”

Authorized by the band, it includes new interviews with Roger Waters, David Gilmour and Nick Mason, as well as archive interviews with Richard Wright, who died in 2008.
Sleeve designer Storm Thorgerson, guest vocalist Roy Harper, front cover “burning man” Ronnie Rondell and others involved in the project are also featured. Original recording engineer Brian Humphries revisits the master tapes at Abbey Road Studios to illustrate aspects of the album’s construction.

Submit your own recording of a Floyd song for a chance to win some great prizes and have your song aired on the “Floydian Slip” radio show.
One first prize winner will get $100 in Pink Floyd merchandise from The Official Web Store of Pink Floyd. And … we’ll air their recording during a special all-covers edition of the “Floydian Slip” radio show: Our “Surrogate Bands” special will run for a week starting July 5 on all 32 “Floydian Slip” affiliate stations.
