Video from this evening’s performance of “The Wall” at London’s 02, featuring the reunion of David Gilmour and Roger Waters.
Gilmour joined Waters, along with drummer Nick Mason, for playing “Outside the Wall” at the end of the show, as well: Gilmour on mandolin, and Mason on tambourine.
OMG ! ! this is as close as I will get to seeing them together. Thank You Soo much for posting this……..
That was absolutely EPIC. Makes me wish I’d been there!!!
Awesome, thats the one word that comes to me, I would have loved to be there !
With Gratitude for posting an awesome memory from the 1980 concert! The difference here is the effect of the Wall shattering, where in the 1980 concert the bricks were cardboard and painted white. (managed to get a piece of it!!) Appreciation again! “))))
Haha Gilmour totally F’d up the verse. He said, “When I was a child/I caught a fleeting glimpse/Out of the corner of my Eye/Now I’ve got that feeling once again/I can’t explain/You would not understand/This is not how I am.”
Of course, what he should have sang is, “When I was a child/I caught a fleeting glimpse/Out of the corner of my eye/I turned to look, but it was gone/I cannot put my finger on it now/The child has grown/The dream is gone.”
Sorry, Gilmour, I love you but you can be a bafoon. You’d think the extravagant number of times you’ve played Roger’s songs over the years since the breakup would’ve allowed you to get the lyrics down.
Totally awesome guys. jared Pendak you are a moron.
Maybe so, but apparently I know Comfortably Numb’s lyrics better than David
C’MON GUYS NO IN FIGHTING THATS WHAT BROKE UP FLOYD IN THE BEGINNING
this is soooo awesome!! was waiting for years and years to see this day come
