We asked you to take a guess as to the date David Gilmour would join Roger Waters on stage during Waters’ tour of “The Wall” that kicked off tonight in Toronto. We’ve been told it’s going to happen, but the date remains shrouded in secrecy.
The polls are closed, and we’ve crunched the numbers:
More than 80 people entered the contest, with guesses fairly evenly split between the North American leg of the tour (Sept. 15 through Dec. 21) and the European leg (March 21 through June 29). Though London’s series of five shows next May is clearly the voters’ favorite.
On the North American side, Waters’ Oct. 5 show at Madison Square Garden was the most popular, earning four votes. On the European side, guesses clustered around the London shows, with the May 11 show at The O2 coming out on top of all shows worldwide with eight votes.
“Floydian Slip” is going on the record by saying our guess is London’s May 17 date.
The person who guesses closest wins a copy of Water’s “The Wall Live in Berlin” on CD. If the winner guesses the exact date, we’ll add to the kitty a sealed copy of last November’s Classic Rock magazine with the 3D Floyd cover.
Now we play the waiting game …
do not do it roger. you are “pink”. david gilmore sucks.
you do it roger, he gave up on you and the band.
you might want him back. i am a floyder and never want to see him again. if you tell me what matters, i doubt i will go for it. i heard your song, yes, you should all get together. not at this time roger. you did your 1st interview on your own. that was a big step. all floyders only want you. i saw you in montreal when you 1st broke up. eric clapton played his part and it was the best i have ever seen.
i am sorry bud, give up gilmour, he makes the band suck!!

What IF David performs at more than 1 show? 🙂
(If he plays more than one show, we’re going with the first …)
it’s not about who made this or that, it’s about the greatest band in the whole world. I live in Bolivia and we didnt see any of their shows. My uncle saw them in their last US tour and told me when i was a child “life is too fxxxxxx big to me right now”. That’s the feeling!…a whole world to know when you listen to them. A little reunion that makes a big moment, a great moment…
Long live the greatest band!. Much agreed Daniel, a great moment! I hope they release some DVDs of the show and tour. Saw the show last year in Minneapolis of course blew me away. I am sure David will be smiling ear to ear once his first note plays. With Nick Mason in attendance it will be something special also with Richard Wright and Syd smiling down. Cheers from Minneapolis! Amazing! Legends playing together again Wow!! Have fun Roger David and the crew!. P.S. We all guessed it would be European Leg but it was fun a fun ride with rumors guessing each night. #fearless
