Syd Barrett biopic coming

Wash WestmorelandThe company behind the recent Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown” are said to be working on a film about Pink Floyd co-founder Syd Barrett.

Peter Jaysen, owner of Veritas Entertainment and a producer on the Dylan film, revealed on the podcast “The Town With Matthew Belloni” the company is now working on a film focused on Barrett.

Wash Westmoreland (pictured) is attached to the project, according to Jaysen. Westmoreland is a British writer/director known for “Still Alice” (2014), which won a number of awards, including the Best Actress Oscar for Julianne Moore.

Jaysen didn’t give a timeline for the film’s release.

He also mentioned he was planning a film about the Cass Elliot of the Mamas and the Papas.

“Floydian Slip” coming to KZSX 95.7 (Beaumont, CA)

KZSX“Floydian Slip” will begin airing soon on KZSX 95.7 FM in Beaumont, CA. The station will carry the show Friday nights at 6.

“X95.7” is low-power FM (LPFM) classic rock station serving the community of Beaumont, Calimesa and Yucaipa, CA.

We make available our show free to non-commercial broadcasters operating in markets that are not served by a commercial “Floydian Slip” affiliate.

KZSX is the latest station to join the Random Precision Radio Network, a collection of more than 110 broadcasters that air “Floydian Slip,” produced in our Shelburne, Vt., studio.

Shine on, Beaumont!
