Columbia Records has released the first single from Roger Waters‘ new album “Is This the Life We Really Want.”
“Smell the Roses” is available for streaming on Spotify and for sale on the iTunes Music Store.
It has a decidedly “Have a Cigar”-feel, with some passages similar to “Dogs.”
“Is This the Life We Really Want” will be released June 2 (See “New Roger Waters album tracklist; release delayed”.)
This song has a strong start, but I don’t wish to sign up to ‘Spotify’ so I guess I won’t be able to listen to “Smell the Roses”. This (attempted) experience is more like “Smell that…” other unmistakeable smell which is in direct contrast to roses!!
