“Rattle That Lock” wins album art award

David Gilmour‘s “Rattle That Lock” was honored for best album artwork of 2016 by Art Vinyl.

The avian-themed design, art directed by Dave Stansbie from The Creative Corporation, was selected by popular vote from 50 entrants.

Drenge‘s “Undertow” came in second, and “Currents” by Tame Impala was third.

The 2016 winners will be shown at exhibitions in  Ayrshire, Bologna, Budapest and Munich, and at two locations in London.

Art Vinyl sells framing systems to display album covers as wall art, and curates album art exhibitions.

“Floydian Slip” coming to KKVM 104.7 FM (Vail, CO)

“Floydian Slip” will begin airing on KKVM 104.7 FM in Edwards, Colo., starting Jan. 16. The station will carry the show Saturdays at 7 p.m. MT.

“The Mile” is a 95,000-watt classic rock station serving the greater Vail area.

Nearly 70 affiliate stations have joined the show’s Random Precision Radio Network, created in Summer 2009 when we began syndicating our show from our Vermont studio.
