David Gilmour‘s new album, “Rattle That Lock,” debuted at the top of the U.K.’s Official Album Chart this week.
It’s the second time the Pink Floyd guitarist and vocalist has reached number one with a solo album. The last time was 2006 with “On an Island.”
“Rattle That Lock” beat out the second-highest charting record, Lana Del Rey‘s “Honeymoon,” by 20,000 copies.
In the United States, “Rattle That Lock” debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart. Nine of the top 10 albums there are debuts.
Gilmour also enjoyed a #1 debut last November with Pink Floyd’s “The Endless River.”
