Pink Floyd screensavers
Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall Live
This screensaver was made available in spring 2000 to promote the live album released at the same time. Windows only. Unzip the downloaded file and run the resulting .exe file.
Flying pig
Made available by Capitol Records in October 2001 to promote the "Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd" compilation released the following month.
This Flash-based screensaver depicts the inflatable pig from "Animals" gently floating throughout an English countryside. The time of day the scene depicts changes throughout the day, coinciding with the time to which your computer is set.
The Windows file is a .zip file. Unzip it and run the resulting .exe file. The Macintosh version is a .sit archive.
- Flying pig screensaver, Windows (560 kb)
- Flying pig screensaver, Mac (577 kb)
Pulse
The "Pulse" screensavers were issued by EMI Records Ltd./Pink Floyd Music in spring 1995 to promote the live "Pulse" album.
For the Windows version, the files from the floppy supplied to us from EMI/UK were compressed into a single archive using WinZip. Use a similar application to unzip the archive and follow the instructions contained within.
The original Macintosh .sea file has been binhexed into an .hqx file. After decompression follow these instructions from EMI:
Copy the .sea file onto your hard disk. Double click on the file to expand the folder. Inside are two items. Drag them onto your system folder icon to install. Click OK in the dialog boxes and then restart your computer. Wait for the screensaver.
Pink Floyd fonts
This font was inspired by Gerald Scarfe's scrawling style found on "The Wall" album.
- Floydian font, TrueType (31 kb)
- Floydian font, Type 1 (88 kb)
